CX Apparel

CX Apparel was a small clothing brand started at the end of 2019 by high school students in Palo Alto, CA. Clothing featuring original art by students were sold online and distributed locally. Profits from sales went towards philanthropic efforts and organizations, with $300 being donated to EHP and Black Visions Collective in 2020. You can visit their website here.

As a photographer, I wanted to focus on the texture and the art on the clothing, playing with natural lighting.

Glossier

Glossier is a cosmetics and skincare company founded in 2014 with a focus on accentuating natural beauty.

My work is not associated with Glossier in anyway, and was done as an educational exercise on how to apply studio lighting, staging, and brand aesthetics to a photo shoot.

I was inspired by the TikTok photo trend of "summer chill" vibes and the brand aesthetic of Glossier itself when shooting.

Euphoric Sun

Euphoric Sun is a small, San-Francisco-based beauty and apparel brand founded by Sun Li. Inspired by Asian culture and aesthetics, the products are soft-toned.

My work is not associated with Euphoric Sun in any way, as this was an exercise in editorial photography and makeup.

Some of the photos were shot on self timer with the remainder being from a summer concept photoshoot in October of 2021, with an editorial style reminiscent of Vogue magazine.
